Is it normal that my 20 month old wakes up every 2 hrs at night to breastfeed?

Hi i have a 20 month old son, I still breastfeed only when he takes naps and at night when he goes to bed, but he wakes up like every 2-3hrs to breastfeed, He eats good during the day and takes a 2 hr nap.

Yes my little girl did that for 3 yrs, i did not have full nights sleep for that long its only a comfort it is not because they are hungry. I had to say no all together and put a sleep plan in place but because i had left it for so long it was even harder to make her sleep all through the night. I thought it was ganna be so hard i wanted to stop but i realy didnt for her, i was making it harder for her, I stopped feeding it took 1 week she never asked again so if you maby put him to sleep with a feed then say no more through the night it shouldn take long before night wakes stop just dont give in. Good Luck

Yes, for some toddler, it is normal. My son stopped waking up at night wanting to breastfeed once he stopped to breastfeed just before going to sleep. It took place around his 30th months.
