My baby is 7 1/2 months and I've already had some trouble with my milk supply. I've been taking an herbal lactation supplement and that is helping, but it says to avoid during pregnance. I got pregnant with her while I was nursing my son and my milk dried up within weeks. Is there any way to keep my milk if I get pregnant again?

My only advice is constant nursing.... I am due any day now and still nursing my 17 month old so there is hope! Good luck to you!

I got pregnant while my son was still nursing strong and it didn't seem to affect my milk supply very much, but it sure did change my milk consistency and taste. So much so that he self-weaned about 10 weeks into my pregnancy. You might also talk to your local LLL group about ideas for keeping up your supply while pregnant - I'm sure they would have tons of ideas! Good luck!

I had no luck with keeping up my supply when I got pregnant.  I got pregnant when she was 7.5 months old and was able to nurse her til 10 months but by 9 months I could only nurse her in the morning.  She pretty much lost interest in it too.
