Yes it has happened to me. Mostly in the front area and it really started to freak me out. Before then I had a thyroid problem and was put on levothyroxin and liquid iodine drops. They help with the hair. Just recently I was told to take a hair, scalp and nail pill that has Biotin in it. Thats really suppose to help the hair to grow. My hair dresser said alot of moms go through that because of the hormone imbalance. For me my hair has always been so thick so this is something hard for me to have to deal with. I would try some of the above and if nothing I would get the hair, scalp and nail pills with biotin/collagen/gelatin. Its made by Spring Valley

It is normal to shed larger amounts of hair a few months after having a baby. When you're pregnant many moms don't shed much hair. So after baby is born and your hormones change you hair tries to catch up and sheds a lot. It should slow down. If you really feel like it's a lot then you could contact your doctor. I think anemia can cause excessive hair loss. I shed tons with my first. I'm still waiting to start the extra hair loss after my second (3.5 months).
