Hi all!

I need help. I have a nine months old baby boy, we have been really good in the procces of breastfeeding, but lately he's interested in bitting. He bites if the milk ends, if he's bored, and when he's getting sleepy.

I don't know what to do to make him stop doing that.

Please help with advice I don't wish to stop breastfeeding just yet

Thanks for posting this. My 7.5 month old does the same thing, although we don't have teeth quite yet....in a few days I'm sure!!

Callie- Thanks for these tips. I might try these next time. Even without teeth it doesn't tickle!!! :)

This is the advice I got from a mom with 3 BF kids.
1-make sure you're nursing when they're hungry cause they can't bite when actively nursing.
2- If they do bite- give a lite flick to the cheek and say ouch that hurts. Then take them off and end the nursing session. You can come back later and finish nursing.
I will say that some people are against the flicking and you can try just saying ouch and ending the nursing session if you want. I did softly flick my daughters cheek and she's never bitten me again. No crying no nursing strike. She just looked at me like she couldn't believe I was taking the boob away. She's 14 months and we're still nursing 5ish times a day. Good Luck!
