my daughter just turned one and wants to feed all the time now! she is having tantrums if i cant feef her right away even if it has only been 5 min since her last feed. Is this just her looking for attention? or is she just really that hungry? any suggestions on how to detour the tantrums becuase i am getting sick of the dirty looks i get when i tell kaid she cant have milk sight away

Completely teething. I had the same thing with Erica molars. It will pass when the teeth are in. I swear he was nursing every hour for a week! And then until the molars are totally through it's always hard.
She needs help to deal with the pain, and breastfeeding is the best safest easiest and most effective way for her to deal with her pain.
So it's hard on us, but she needs you to be understanding now and let her tantrums be ignored if it's just for her teething.
She doesnt know why she is in pain, she doesn't know if it will get better, and she can't tell you it hurts except by crying.
So just be gentle with her feelings and let her bf as much as she needs.
It's a hard time, but it will get better when the teeth are through.
You can do it!

My 14 months old is doing the same thing especailly at night!
Last night I just couldnt take it anymore my breast hurt so bad from all the nurses so I just sat there with her while she screamed her head off, and then starting crying myself.
My daughter is getting alot of teeth right now, so im guessing thats part of it, i also kinda of feel she has become so use to me nursing whenever she would like that its hard for her to be told no more milk.
Hope it gets easier for you!

When my son was teething or sick.... he practically never left my boob. We're all done w/ teething now, but he still nurses a lot more whenever he gets sick.

Sounds quite realistic! From your description she just sounded to be in pain so I hope she feels better soon! But those molars are really hard on them so make sure you keep it in mind when you are wondering 'what's wrong!' that molars are a pain in the butt.

It's most likely a phase. My daughter is going through that too. It's almost like they just need a quick nursing check-in, then they get on with their day. It will not last forever.

she is working on 3 molars right now i try to get her to eat lots of solids but right now she is picky with what she eats especally if she wants milk she will just throw it away alot of times and when i can get her to eat solids alot of the time she will just eat the bread or a fruit and the odd veggie

They often have a 12 month growth spurt but this does sound like it could also be behavioural. Is she teething? My DD has been funny with feeding as she is hungry but pulls off and on a lot which drives me a bit mad. Does she have lots of solids?
