I'm b.feeding my 5 week old daughter and currently b.f my 6 yr old daughter for 19months but my newest is tounge tied and has acid reflux... I'm very pro b.feeding but with all the pain I'm in I've actually been thinking about stopping. She just can't get a good latch no matter how deep it is or how wide her mouth opens. My nipples throb with pain and I have to live on ibuprophen just to nurse.. its so frustraiting! :(

I second Celeste. It is affecting her nursing, the most important thing for now and if it is severe enough to affect nursing it will also affect speech and other things later. Can you demand it?

Have you thought about going to an ENT? I would definitely get it clipped because it's causing problems!

I would love too if I could find a dr that's willing to do it, they all have the "let's see if it effects her later on" attitude... I don't know about effecting her but it sure is effecting me!

Are you going to get her tongue clipped? I think that will help with the latching problems. Here are some links:
