I am pumping, and BF and am going through PPD. My son is 6 weeks old, and my hubby has been taking some of the feedings at night. Between the PPD and the meds I am on it has been crazy. I need to make sure I have enough milk for my little boy.

The best way to increase supply is to nurse! The more you nurse, the more you will make. Yes, you can take fenugreek, blessed thistle, eat oatmeal, but you really need to nurse/pump for it to work (IF you have a supply issue).

The *best* way to know if your baby is getting enough is to look at dipes. If he's getting 6-8 diapers (no matter content), your supply is fine.

Fenugreek was recommend to me by my sons pediatrician when I wanted to pump and BF at the same... it did help me produce more but I could never get the milk to pump. It you don't want to take meds I would just drink tons of extra water. I found the fenugreek at the local nutrition store. Good luck.
