Nipple searching issue

My 2 month old likes to search for a nipple no matter what. Even when she isn't hungry, if she feels something near her face or head she will lick at arms, shirts blankets, and try to suck on them also. she will bob her head back and forth on peoples shoulders for 10 to 15 minutes driving people crazy with it! I don't and won't give her binkys due to nipple confusion. I have breast fed 4 times, but my other 3 have never done this. Any one have any suggestions to get her to stop this? she will also do it while she is sleeping. I just don't know how to get her to stop searching for a nipple on anything and everything she is near or anyone that is holding her.

Baby's root because they have a strong desire to suck. At 2 months, nipple confusion is not going to be an issue. Newborn infants that are just establishing a breastfeeding relationship are the ones that need to avoid multiple nipples and pacifiers. Some babies just need to suck. Unless you are dead set against a pacifier, that would probably solve the problem. She may find her thumb which is a harder habit to break.
