try compressing the end of your breast near the nipple and turn the nipple upwards as to tickle their nose, you can actually tickle the nose ! most babies should open nice and wide to get that nipple. works for me and little monster is being lazy.

imagine your boob as a big mac, most people will squeeze the burger to make it so they can get in their mouth and get a good bite off it. you need to do the same to your boob for your baby ! as was said, start by putting the chin to the breast and then tissue in the mouth.

My babies have all been small when they were born and had a hard time latching in the first couple of days because their mouths were tiny.

My husband would hold the baby in the position I needed so I could have both hands free. As soon as my baby would open his/her mouth, he'd lean them in as I used my hands to get as much of the nipple in his/her mouth as possible. I'd also make sure that his/her bottom lip was way out and his/her lips "splayed". Chin to breast. Sometimes it took several times to get a good latch. After about 3 or 4 days of that, they caught on. Having a second pair of hands REALLY helps.
