When i had my older son who is 3 now. I breastfed him and pumped sometimes, I would get that also. I got told it was my uterus contracting back when feeding was most effective and any waste that was left was still coming out. I bled upto 10 weeks after natural birth. I'm now also breastfeeding my 3 1/2 month old son and that happens also but only for 6 weeks this time. That was also a normal delivery (water birth) Everybody is different. If you get that concerned then go to your go and get them to refer you for a scan to check everything come away.

I'd still call your dr. to make sure there is nothing wrong- and it could be a few different things if by chance there is, but post-birth bleeding can last as long as 8 weeks depending on what kind of delivery you had.

has your postpartum bleeding stopped or is it really light then you have heavier bleeding after pumping?

it could just be your uterus tightening up. pumping helps to do that so thats what the bleeding might be. but i would talk to your OB or doc to make sure.
