Moms Club International has fun clubs for stay at home moms all over the world. Go to www.momsclub.org to find your local chapter. I looked it up and saw Arizona has 25 or so chapters. Our local group has about 60 members and they have a daily calendar of activities, plus monthly moms nights out and family get-togethers, BBQ's etc. It gives you something fun to do that you don't have to plan and a chance to meet other moms in your shoes. You can also get involved with leadership if you like. Kids are expected at all the activities except Moms night out. They are planned during the day and it's a great way to get support and get into playgroups. Great organization! :) Good luck!

I met great play groups through Meetup.com. It's free and you can find people in your area. Do a Search for "play groups" or if you are into Attachment Parenting, Breastfeeding, or other things, you can do more specific play group searches like "Natural Moms" or "Fit Moms" if u want an exercise group, etc. Once you join a playgroup(s) you will learn a lot about all the local parks, play gyms, libraries, children's museums, parent-child classes, etc. that your area has to offer. Good luck!

We're military and have been in the SV area for 5 1/2 years now. I tried a mom's group and didn't care for it, and an online military spouse's group that led to me becoming friends with one of my closest friends. :) Story time at the library sounds like a good idea, too! Good luck!

When we moved to a new area I started going to the local library for story time and met other moms there. Three years later we still have play group and they are some of my best friends.

Chelsea, I live in Prescott Valley, but my husband and I will be in Tucson the first weekend of every month, if you want to get together sometime. I am also 23 and my daughter is 14 months old today. :-p I don't know very many people in the Tucson area, either, but I spent the last 16 years in Benson, so I know lots of people there!

Have you attended a local la Leche league meeting? Or look up MOMS club and search for a chapter in your area. I've gotten More play dates from la Leche league meetings than I ever expected.
