Pre mixed Formula vs. Powder Formula

My son was born at 34 1/2 weeks and spent two weeks in the NICUl. I pumped for the first week but then got sick and was put on really strong antibiotics which stopped my Milk supply. When our son came home we gave him the Preemie infamil liquid formula then got the okay from his pediatrician to switch to #1 enfamil liquid formula. Now his doctor said it was normal for babies to spit up/throw up but for the first month after most of his feedings he always threw up a little. My husband and I decided to switch to the powder formula by enfamil. For the next two weeks he was really fussy and made "pushing" faces and went longer to pass a bowel movement, he was a little constipated. Now we are stuck and need HELP should we continue with the Powder Formula or switch back to Liquid Formula and know that spitting up is NORMAL. OR should we try a different make of formula : Similac, Gerber,.... ???? I would love to get fellow MOMs advice before contacting his doctor...

thanks alot, Momma P :)

This is a breastfeeding group so most of us breastfeed. I am unfamiliar with formula. Maybe try another mom's group. Sorry! If you want more info on breastfeeding, we can definitely help with that
