I just got these yesterday, kind of as a last resort because my nipples are killing me. I went through all of the Medela sizes and nothing worked. Pedi and LC said no thrush or anything.

Anyway, so far I really like them as they are incredibly comfortable, but I'm not getting quite as much output. The website FAQs say it can take a few days for your breasts to adjust, but I was wondering if anyone else has used them and if you ended up with more output.

Well, I have finished my first week with the pumpin pals and I would like to report that I LOVE THEM! I was literally ready to quit pumping and these things have saved me. How in the world can someone pump with for a year with the flanges that come with the pump is a mystery to me.

It took a while to get used to them and I had a slight drop in output, but the pain was gone almost immediately and I kept going. On about day 3 I was back to my normal output, then on day five I actually saw an increase of nearly 2 OZ per pump and it was the first time I actually thought "I can do this for the long haul". It upsets me that I had to find them on my own and that my Pedi and LC were totally unaware that there was an alternative to the lame ones that come with every pump. I plan on spreading the word to everyone I know that is pumping that you don't need to suffer.

I have been using them and absolutely love them. I was in your same situation with the old fashioned flanges that came with my freestyle pump, and couldn't find a size that didn't cause severe nipple pain.

It did take a few days to get used to the way they work because the suction is moved away from the nipple to an area behind the areola, more like a baby with a good latch. Within three days I was back to my normal output with NO PAIN! My supply quickly increased once the pain was gone. Worth every penny.
