Pumping and milk let down

I am just a under a week away from going back to work after maternity leave and I have been exclusively breastfeeding. I have been trying to pump and save up milk for when I go back to work. When I pump and nurse at the same time my milk lets down with no problem but when I try to pump only it will not let down. I am producing plenty of milk but cannot get it when pumping alone...please help!!

When I pumped, I would start my pump on low and then gradually turn it up to a higher power. Just relax and think about your baby, that always helped my milk let down also. If after 30 minutes you still haven't got any milk, stop and try again in another half an hour or whenever you feel your breasts are full again. If you are pumping after a feeding then your supply will be down. And one other thing, make sure you have a good pump with the right size cups. Bottom line- the pump will NEVER be as efficient as your baby at getting the milk.
