I have been searching for breast pumps and reading reviews. Some have mixed reviews others have really good reviews. As of right now I am looking at the mipump double pump. Any suggestions on pumps??
Also, for storage bags, do they have to be the same brand as the pump to use?

I was very happy with my Medela pump - it made it through 12 months of pumping 3-4 times a day, five days a week! I never had any loss of suction and the only time I had a problem with it, the help line was able to talk me through the fix and were very helpful. My sister and several friends had an Ameda pump but I've heard more complaints about those than I've heard about Medela. I used the cheapest storage bags I could find - I found I had the same number of leaks with Medela bags that I did with the cheaper ones. I ended up mostly buying Lansinoh bags; they sell them pretty cheap at Wal Mart. Here's a storage tip that I didn't know about and ended up costing me a lot of milk that I couldn't afford to lose! Store your milk flat in Ziploc bags in the freezer. Breastmilk storage bags tend to be flimsy and any contact or accidental bumping in the freezer will cause tears or holes in the bags and once you thaw it, milk just leaks out everywhere. Once I started storing them in Ziploc bags, I stopped having leaks. Good luck!

I used a Medela pump. It always worked well for me. From what I've heard from other momma's, it's really worth spending the money on a good pump. Don't bother buying a cheap one. And I could use any type of storage bags with the Medela pump.

I have a mipump double pump I liked it at first but seemed that after 2 months of use the suction seems to go down but if you are just pumping at work once or twice it works. If you are going to pump more then I would go with a medela more pricey but worth it. I use any storage but that I can get my hands on. they all work the same.
