My daughter is almost 7 months old and I have decided to start weening. She really doesn't like the bottle and hates formula! I have been trying everything. The last few days, she has decided she doesn't want to nurse or take the bottle. She eats lots of solids but is just refusing to take any milk. I'm about to make an appt with her doctor but does anyone have any advice????

I've tried the sippy cup and she doesn't like it. I have tried like 4 different bottles. I've even added a little Carnation instant breakfast to try to make it taste better but she's not having it. I brought her to the doctor and he said her weight gain was good so just keep trying and give her a vitamin supplement in the meantime. She' s still breastfeeding about 1 meal a day but only for like 5 min. She drinks a little juice.

Will she drink from a sippy cup? You can put the breast milk in the sippy cup. My son had very few bottles unless grandma or daddy was watching him and I started the sippy cup at 4 months. If she hasn't used the sippy cup maybe you can introduce it, she may think it if fun :) Wish I had that magic wand.

Sometimes ear infection makes them not want to swallow because it hurts..? Have you tried different kinds of bottle nipples? My daughter is very fussy about what kind of artificial nipple she will take...
