They do grow out of them. My doctor explained that it happens during rapid brain growth which means your kiddo is getting smart very quickly. It's hard to watch them contort, writhe, and scream. I hated every second of it. It's important to ensure that they are safe and let them work it out. They will either wake up and need comforted (which honestly was probably much more comforting for me) or they will calm down and sleep calmly. It's exhausting because you're not getting sleep and because its emotionally taxing. It normally doesn't last for more than a few months! Good luck!!!

All of my kids had them, but my oldest two were the worst!! They can be very scary!!!
