How old is your baby? Did you pump at all during the past 4 or 5 days? What has your baby ben eating?

Your milk supply works "on demand". So the more frequently you remove milk (baby nursing or you pumping) the more you will make. When you stop removing milk, your body gets the signal that you don't need it anymore and will slow down productions and eventually stop.
If you begin nursing again, you will likely find it takes a few days to get your supply back up… but nursing frequently and or pumping frequently is the only way to do it.

Also - I know breastfeeding during mastitis isn't comfortable, but it's still OK to do. Anytime you get sick, you can still continue to nurse your baby. Only if you take medications that are not OK for baby would you need to stop nursing during an illness.
