Still lactating after 7 months?!

I need some help from moms who know a lot about breastfeeding. :) Unfortunately, I had a bad breastfeeding experience with my son. I only breastfed him for 2 months & stopped way too soon due to lack of support (and honestly, I didn't know what the heck I was doing!) Anyway, my son is 9 months old now & today I noticed that I still had a little bit of something coming out of my right nipple.

I didn't breastfeed much out of my left side, because I couldn't get him to latch well, so I ended up drying up pretty fast on that side. But, after 7 months of not breastfeeding, would I still have a little bit coming out? I'm confused!

Was it clearly milk? non milk discharge is serious and should be checked by a doc, but if it is milk that can happen and is normal for up to a year or so I've heard. If it is an issue there are herbs that will help you finish drying up, such as sage.
