Hello I'm the proud mother of my almost 26 month old daughter. From the age of 18 months she was down to nursing once a day before bed. I weaned her purposefully at 22 months because she had to have cleft repair surgery at 23 months. I wanted her to be weaned because I knew it would be so upsetting for her to wake up from surgery and want to nurse and I'd have to refuse her. I expressed up through surgery so she'd still have my milk. Beginning of august I stopped and wore very tight bras day and night expecting to dry up. I was only getting an ounce or two from both breasts at the time of quitting. So it's been more than two months and I'm still dribbling! any tips or other mothers this has happened to? My daughter and I are very close and spend the majority of time together and I still get that emotional upswing and then feeling of letdown occasionally-possible contributing factor is that I take a long time for my hormones to get back to pre-pregnancy levels.? Thank you!
