Trying to get pregnant while breastfeeding......

My son will be a year old in just a couple of weeks. I am still breastfeeding and haven't gotten my monthly back yet..... My husband and I have been talking about trying to get pregnant again soon however I want to be able to do the child lead weening. I don't want to have to stop breastfeeding in order to start my period again and get pregnant! Does anyone know of a way to stimulate ovulation without having to stop breastfeeding?

You don't need to stop breastfeeding to get pregnant! Trust me! I'm 34 weeks pregnant and still breastfeeding a 20 month old at least 3-5 times a day. Here's what you can do. Start charting your basal body temperature. Use a basal body thermometer. They are inexpensive, but a little different than a regular thermometer. You take your temp same time every day and chart it. It is possible to begin ovulating before your period returns. Your bbt tells you about your fertility. Good luck!
