Weaning

My story is a little complicated, my almost 5 month old has always been Breast fed but the first 2 months I gave him a bottle with formula, no Breast milk in the bottle, but when I have him formula it was when we would go out. I then decided I didn't want to give him formula any more and just exclusively Breast feed since I'm a stay at home mom right now and I'm never away from him, but what I didn't realize is that I do need days off and sometimes I wish he could be babysat and me not have to breast feed him. So I forgot about that and one day I tried the bottle of formula like 3 weeks later and he completely denied it. He denies any nipple beside mine. I'm getting really stressed because I need him to take the bottle in order for me to gain my sanity back. I love him so much but sometimes I do need a break. I don't pump because I tried doing that and sat there and nothing came out, even though I know I have a big and fast supply. Please mommies I'm in desperate need of help or advice. I plan on going back to work in a couple weeks as well and that's going to be hell for whoever has to babysit and for my baby if he doesn't take the bottle.

Are you sure you couldn't get some breast milk to put in a bottle? Did you have a good seal? Try nursing baby on one side and pump the other at the same time (you will need a partner)
If you can get some milk for the bottle he may take it more readily. I used the Mimijumi Very Hungry bottle. Warm the nipple up under warm water first. Try to offer it when he is hungry but not starving. If he is super hungry, he will just get frustrated. Also, have a someone else give him the bottle. He know you've got what he wants. Good Luck!
