I was born without knuckles on my right hand it is only dimples and on my left I have one knuckle. Not all children are born with knuckles and I am a fully functioning adult with four children of my own and can use every single one of my fingers without knuckles.

All babies have knuckles, they just are not as prominent until they are older because of the baby fat.

If he's got chubby little hands, you might not see knuckles for a while. Both my guys had "hammer hands" for quite a while. Does he always have his fingers straight out? If he isn't bending his fingers at all, you likely want to talk to his doctor.
