I am currently breastfeeding my 4 week old and during the day he feeds for 15 mins each side every 3-4 hrs roughly. Sometimes it's longer or shorter. At night before bed he always wants a longer feed so i feed for a bit longer each side and he will sleep for up to 6hrs.

My daughter is 6 months old and she nurses about 3-4 times every hr to an hr and a half. She only nurses for about 5 mins or so. (she likes to snack) She will when tired nurse alot longer (up to 30 mins sometimes) and she just started waking a few times at night to nurse as well.

Every 3 hours until she was 4.5 month old (only during the day not at night...I let her sleep as long as she wanted at night and kept a schedule during the day). She then went to a 3.5 hour schedule after that and is still on it at 9 months old.

My soon to be 4 month old nurses every 3 hours during the day and she nurses once during the night. She usually nurses around 8 o'clock, goes to bed, and then I twilight feed her around 11 before I go to bed. She usually does not wake until 4 or 5 the next morning, eats and goes right back to sleep.

Depends on the baby, the baby's age and if they are sick or in a growth spurt. It's normal for a young baby to nurse 8-12 times a day (about every 1 1/2- 2 hours while awake). As a baby gets older and more efficient they nurse less often. At 8 months, mine nurses about every 3 hours. And if a baby is sick or in a growth spurt, they can nurse every hour or sometimes sooner.
I know this seems like a lot, but it's not so bad once you get used to the baby's schedule.

My 13 month old nurses 1-2 times an hour, and this is down from 3-4 times an hour when she was much younger. She nurse 3-5 times during the night.

My daughter ate every 2 1/2 hours until she was 3 months. Then every 3-3 1/2 hours and every 4 at night until she was 6 months and started eating solids. Then it was between meals she would feed once and wake twice at night to feed.

mine is 10 months old and breastfeeds, usually in the morning, when he gets home from daycare, after supper, before bed and once during the night, more during the day on weekends. hes older though. when he was little he was on about every 2 hours. hes a fast nurser tho so he was on more and ate less each time, which i was ok with too, every baby is different, some eat for like 30 min each side then go for 3-4 hours in between (those are usually the good sleepers lol unlike my son). also keep im mind they go through growthspurts at 3 weeks, 6 weeks, 3 months and 6 months where they will nurse more frequently and for longer each time, and when my son is teething he nurses more because it takes pressure off his gums and releases "feel good" hormones.

My son seems to eat all the time, but that's only because I don't realize HOW MUCH time has actually gone by lol...he just went through a growth spurt not too long ago and nursed literally about every hour, but normally, like now, he nurses every 3-4 hours.
