pain at c-section almost 2years later.

I was pregnant with twins in 2009 and had to have an emergency c-section which went really quick. it is now almost 2 years later and i still have pains around my scar. it feels like a knife is trying to cut me from the inside but its weird the pain only lasts a few seconds and getting worse. i recently went to the er about it and they did a ct scan and found nothing but they told me to see my ob that did my csection and have him look at it.

so my question is, is there anyone who has had this pain and seen a doctor and gotten a diagnosis? or any ideas what it could be?

I'm 2 years post c section. I googled pain after 2 yeats I get stabning ripped burning pains and here and there often it last for second but does hurt. I would like to know what it is. I've never gotten an answer to what it is other than possible nerve damage. Good luck ♥ emmas mommy

It could be scar tissue. Anytime you have Surgery you should massage your insicion to help reduce scar tissue but a lot of Dr.s don't recommend or tell you this. I would try massaging the scar twice a day for awhile and see if at helps, it certainly can't hurt as it doesn't sound like the Dr.s are helping much. I was having pain long after my first C-Section and a physical therapist recc this and I haven't had pain since. I recently had my second and have been massaging it since about 2 wks postpartum so hopefully I won't experience the phantom pains this time around.

Have not spoken to my Dr about it but I do get the occsional pains around my scar, like it is trying to tear open again. Have had no problems noted during regular checks (paps and internal exams) but if it continues I will be going back ffor a more thorough check. Just reasuring that I'm not alone in this, let me know if your Dr has any explannation. My son is three years old now.

Stabbing pain sounds scary - you should definitely pursue the issue with whatever doctor you can! I have a lot of tenderness around my incision still (3 and a bit years later) and right underneath it is completely numb, but mine doesn't bug me that much - I am just very careful not to bump my lower stomach..definitely trust your instincts though!
