Breast Reconstruction - I Need Your Stories

I am a breast cancer survivor who is now at the stage where I can consider having my breast reconstructed. I am very unsure what I should do. Part of me says 'hell ya - I want to feel like a full woman again' while another part of me says 'why put yourself through more surgery'. My hubby isn't being very helpful - my immediate family either. When asked for opinions all I get is 'do what you want'. Is there anyone out there who has had their breast reconstructed? What was your experience like? Are you glad you did it? Resent doing it? Outcomes? HELP -- I don't like making blind decisions and I just need to hear your stores - the good, the bad and the ugly.

Hi Becky, I just had breast reconstructive surgery in August 2010. I think that was the best decision I could have made. It was done as out patient and I had no pain at all and that's saying a lot because I have a very low tolerance to pain.
