Soft Cleft palate surgery

My daughter has q22 and was going to have a pflap surgery, but her artery was in the way and they discovered a soft cleft palate, which they repaired. Since the surgery, she occasionally mentions getting food in her nose. This can be explainable if there is a small hole I guess, plus this would rarely happen before the surgery due to her initial condition. What has me puzzled is since the surgery though, is she sometimes complains of the back of her head and neck hurting (or feeling something, uncomfortable at least sometimes) when eating or drinking. Has anyone had a child experience this and know what could cause it?
