Christian Homeschool Mommies

My husband is military and I am a stay at home wife. We move every 3 years or so and we have a one year old daughter with another on the way in Dec. I'm looking for others who may be like me. Neither of our families support our decision to homeschool, neither dress modestly or live the way we do with our christian values. We believe the Lord leads us to live this way and everything we do is based on the bible and our personal relationship with the Lord. I would love some homeschooling advice, some words of encouragement or others who are going through the same thing. We've also left it up to the Lord to give us as many children as he sees fit, by adoption or naturally. Everyone we are surrounded by is very critical of us and our convictions and I would just like to meet friends who are supportive and have similar convictions. Thank you and God Bless!!

Hi Heather! I am, too, in a similar situation, I am a stay at home mom of two boys, a 3 year old and a 5 month old. I am new at this too and even though I can't give you any suggestions or advice at the moment I just wanted to wish you good luck with everything and God bless you and your family! Jesus is awesome and he'll always be with us. I would like to chat with you, if you would like as well! And as soon as I gather more information about homeschooling I would be more than happy to share it with you! Lots of blessings!

I've homeschooled for 16 years, so ask any questions you want! Don't worry about what other people think. The only one that matters is God. We are in the world, but not of the world.

My MIL was never one to interfere, but I could tell when we started that she was worried about the decision. She never said anything, just asked some questions. She was a very godly woman so it was a different situation from yours. However, after several years, she saw the success of homeschooling and never questioned it. After a while, I only ever heard her worry about her grandchildren who were still in public school.
