Ok, I'm trying to figure out a cute, creative, inexpensive father's day gift for my husband and my dad. Last year I made them both t-shirts w/ our son's footprints all over them (he just turned 1). I want to do something cute like that again, but different--not another t-shirt. Does anyone have any suggestions?

When my daughter was around 18 months I took her to a pottery place and painted a plate and put her hand and feet prints on it and around the edge wrote Happy Fathers day the year and her name...we still have it in a plate holder on the kitchen counter. I think it was around $20 or less

My son (with the help of my mom) gave me a picture frame with a poem and a hand print in it when he was two. Here is the poem if you are interested:

Sometimes you get discouraged
because I am so small.
And always leave my fingerprints
On furniture and walls
But everyday I'm growing -
I'll be grown up someday
And all those tiny fingerprints
will someday fade away.
So here's a final handprint
Just so you can recall
Exactly how my fingers looked
When I was very small.

Have you thought about taking a picture of your son and then taking it to somewhere like Wal-Mart and having a mug or a mouse pad made? We used to have a Picture People around here and they had those products, but we found that Wal-Mart was a WHOLE lot cheaper!! We have done a mug for my hubby right after my second was born. Hope that helps!!
