Please don't use Vaseline it will definitely block your pores, I recommend Arbonne, because I use it myself and has seen tremendous results. My customers who use it, and will come up to me and ask me to feel my skin. They are amazed that their skin feels like a baby. That all I can say, Arbonne speaks for itself!

that is correct Lisa, dont put Vaseline on the face for sure. Rosalind, I used their skincare line about 9 or 10 years ago. I started working for Mary Kay and have been using their products since. I use the TimeWise Miracle set for Dry Skin, Microdermabrasion, Firming Eye cream, and of course everything else in the line. I love it. THere is a new product out called Replenishing Serum + C and it is amazing. Anyhow, hope you find something that works for you. If you want to try what I'm using it's 100% money back guarantee. www.marykay.com/sbottiaux. Merry Christmas!!!

Rosalind, I see you have dark skin which can get quite sallow when dry? Here in RSA a firm favourite amongst people with dark skin, is plain old Vaseline! Skincare-wise it might not be the wisest, but they do have beautiful faces!

Hi Rosalind I use products by Arbonne, they are awesome. I never have any dry skin anymore..Even my elbows are soft...If you have questions about the products shoot me an email. Glowingwitharbonne@gmail.com..The products truely are a God sent. My kids have eczema and because of thier babyline its gone...all products are pure, safe, and beneficial. They are water based, which is the most important ingrediant in keeping your skin moist and soft.

Wow. Thanks ladies. Cocoa Butter has been known to work wonders I always knew that, but I think using that on my face might clog my pores. I am getting certified as a skin analyst and have tried, the Artistry Time Defiance skin care system. My skin care needs have slightly changed from Normal to Dry to more dry. I started using the moisture intense mask...and the Essentials moisture plus for dry spots. Love, Love Love. Check out artistry at www.rbrown45.qbeautyzone.com

I love my Re9 set from Arbonne! I have dry skin with a couple oily spots... It works great keeping it all even and has anti-aging :) The winter season doesn't effect it now.

Year round, my skin is pretty dry so I only use soap in the places that need it. During the winter, I make a point of putting lotion on when I get out of the shower every day and once a week or so, I put baby oil on a washcloth and rub it all over while in the shower.

the baby's dr recommended this product for his diaper rash yesterday and so far it has worked WONDERS on my hands. it is called : BAG BALM it comes in a green tin jar and sold over the pharmacy counter. origionally made for cow udders it is really protecting my hands from repeated washing and the cold weather snap in the San Francisco Bay area. I suggest you try it. The stuff is great.

I agree Cocoa butter or Shea butter, my mum started using Cocoa butter on me when I was a kid & I still use it today on myself & the kids. The other thing is to drink lots of water, people tend to forget to keep up their water intake during the colder months, but it's important all year around, not just in the summer. The other thing is to wrap up so that you don't dry out from wind burn.

Like Savannah I use Cocoa butter or Shea butter. Either one, any lotion or wash with them in it does wonders. Cheap generic or expensive name brand... Doesn't matter, it's the butter that helps, not the name.

Hi Rosalind, Im going to take a shot at answering your question. I have been a skincare consultant for 8 years. Mostly everyone needs a hydration supplement during the winter months. Mary Kay has Intense Moisturizer for Normal to Dry and Oil Free Hydrating Gel for Combination to Oily skin all formulated for the facial area. Then during the day you will want to wear some form of foundation as a layer of protectioin from the elements. There are formulas for all skin types from sheer to heavy coverage. Feel free to visit my website at www.marykay.com/sbottiaux.
Have a blessed day,
Shelley

I have started using Jergens Cocoa butter. It has worked really well for me. I usually get cracked skin in the winter but so far this year my skin is very soft! Its not terribly expensive either. I also use nivea skin firming lotion but that is just for my tummy because I just had a baby and we know what that does to ya! Lol!

I also use shea butter body wash, just the cheap walmart brand for like 3 bucks.

Seriously, between that and the Jergens, my skin has never been so soft.

Good luck! :)
