So, several years ago I used the FlyLady's "Control Journal" and it did work when I remembered to use it. It's a good system, but I realized that one thing (at least in my mind) was that it was about "me" when I wanted mine to be about God, the reason for serving my family and friends and being a good steward of my home.

So, I have decided to start over from scratch. I'll be posting updates and hopefully pictures to show you what I've done.

Would love to have you join in, if you don't already use one! I would even be happy to make weekly goals so we can all stay on top of creating these.

So, for the first week, let's find a binder and pencil pouch (to keep odds and ends in). I challenge you to create a cover page for the front of your binder. Make it pretty to you! (Don't compare to others) and maybe something for the back of the binder (I will be putting verses and quotes that I like on the back of my binder).

Let's do this by Monday. I'll try to post photos of mine by then!

Oh wow! I would love to have some trees of my own. I had 10 pints of applesauce so far (canned), but might make some for consumption here now. Also we want to make some caramel apples today. YUM.

I went to it. It looks nice and easy to do. We have 2 apples and 5 pear trees in our yard. BUT 2 of the pear trees are soo old they are hollow and the pears are small and hard and split. The squirrels are eating them because they are not fit for human consumption. The apple trees have never been Prayed and are full of worms. I can with a lot of work get about 6 or 7 pies and about 7 quarts of apple sauce. The pears are on the rest of the trees are very hard until a hard frost. I have canned them and then used them for pies or sauce. the sauce tastes good fruit is grainy. The pies are very good. I use nutmeg and cloves.

Anne, it's never too late if God directs you to it! :)

Please do join in.

In case you didn't see it, my previous post has a blog link with my pics of the Binder so far. I have more pics, but right now I've had to take care of a bounty of apples the Lord provided us with. :) Anyway, go there and scroll down, you should be able to see the pics.

Tam am I too late to get in on this? I was soo hoping the after I had my shoulder resurfaced that I would GET MY ACT TOGETHER WELL it never happened. Between healing and helping get my sister moved into AFC Home the summer is gone, the "Holidays" are looming and I am not real sure if I even know which end is up as far as ending the clutter in the room in the basement that we call The Mess. I am keeping my head above water up stairs, But I would be ashamed of the lack of Christian Witness the basement back room would reveal if anyone say it.

I don't know how to upload pics into these posts (only links) so I'm going to share the link to my blog. In it are the first pics of my management binder.

I'll be adding more later this week as I get time between homeschooling and taking care of a project for women's prayer breakfast this coming weekend.

LOL, isn't that the way? If I didn't have the dock (which also charges) I'd be up a creek because our charger is always getting misplaced, lol.

Thanks Tam, I will check those out. I Googled the FlyLady the other day and got her website. Its definately something I need. I made a cover for my binder.. but didnt make a spine.. didnt even think of that!!! I will try and find my battery charger so I can take a picture of mine. We went on a trip to Idaho back in July.. and I know the charger made it home.. but now I cant find it.

Cheryl, if you google home management binder you'll get a ton of hits. But to save you some time, here is a great blog link. If you scroll down and to the left she has a section of links for other Home Management Binders!

Here's a site with some printables, too.

However, this one is great for a lot more!

Hope those help get you started! Can't wait to hear about your binder. I finished my covers/spine and some of my daily routines. I'll try to get pics up tomorrow, but definitely by Monday!
