How to connect with other young Christian moms?

Nicole - posted on 10/14/2009 ( 5 moms have responded )

I'm 21 and my husband is 23. We have a 4 week old son and I am staying at home with him. Since we're young, I'm finding it hard to find other young, Christian moms to connect with. I've thought of MOPS programs but the ones in our area, are where you put the child in the childcare program and I'm not ready to put Jackson in there especially since I'm breastfeeding. Any other ideas?

I am 42 but I do go to a Moms group and you can take your child with you. I used to be in MOPS and we did not have put our children in day care to join. My child is not 8 and in the second grade but I go to a Moms group. It is called Moms international. and it should have a list of different moms groups in different areas. Do You go to church? They may have a moms group there or maybe be able to tell you where to go. Where do you live. I live in West Reading PA. If you live around here I could get you connected in aa Moms group. We are all different ages but at you you are with a group of Moms. Email me on Circle of Moms and Maybe I can help. If there is no Moms group maybe you can start one. Have a blessed day. God bless you, Amy Brown

Have you concidered working from home while you are breastfeeding. I am with a Christian home based business that saves families alot of money on things they already spend on. It also offers free online marketing classes. Although I am a grandma, I love moms of all ages. I would love to walk you through to sucess or help with Christian motherly advice if you like. You can contact me at: or even Shekanjah on facebook. I hope to hear more from you soon. Shekanjah

Hi I go to a MOPs group and at least at ours you can keep your baby with you. Everyone at my group has kept their babies at that age with them. Mine is almost one and I still keep her with me. It is a great way to meet other moms. I'm sure you don't have to put your little baby in the childcare.

It's a Mothers Of Preschoolers but its for moms of any aged kids. The kids go in a childcare program and do activities and the moms do devotionals and activities. It's a great program but we aren't ready for it.
