I have a 20yr old who recently had his first baby...the mother had a baby prior to them meeting he does everything in his power to assist..and sometimes it feels like he is only there to babysit..when he does decide to help his grandmother or brother she gets mad and puts him out ...I am concerned as to there fighting around the children...because I live two hours away from them I am limited on how often I can see my grandbaby..and now the mother has put him out to not let him back..and tells me that I can only see my grandbaby if I was to come out to thier home and see her..first of all I dont have time to spend every weekend out at her home..to show I care about my grandbaby..and really isnt me being with her giving the parents a break..and time for me to enjoy her company...really I dont want to be in there arguement ..but if my son is not holding up to his end I will tell him about it.. they are 19 & 20 pertinity has already been established by the signing of ther birth certificate...but I keep telling my son..to get custody established rather its joint or sole...they have to work that out but in all Of this I just want to spend time one weekend a month with my grandbaby...but there are stipulation ...that I am not sure of can you please help with what I can do or my rights...etc

You'd have to look up the laws in your state. Some states have grandparent rights, some don't. Do make sure that your son sees an attorny to establish his rights. the longer he waits the harder it will be.
