My son was born 3 1/2 weeks early at 7 pounds 5 ounces. He is now 2 months old and already 13 pounds. He was eating 6 ounces every 2-4 hours, mostly every 2 1/2. The doctor wasn't too worried at his check up but did mention he was gaining wieght faster than normal. She recommended trying not to feed him more than every 3 hours or 4 hours if possible, unless he was becoming too fussy. How big is your little one? Did your doctor recommend a similar thing or something else?

My kids are teenagers now, but they have always since birth been in the 100%ile. My oldest was 2 weeks late & 10lbs 8 & 3/4 ounces & was 22in. long. My youngest was 6 weeks early & weighed 7lbs 8oz, & was 19 & 1/2 in. Today my oldest is 14 & is 5'10 & weighs about 220. My youngest is about 5'7 & weighs about 110. Needless to say at 5'7" myself, I will eventually be the shorty of my house. By the way, my kids' dad is 6'4" & is about 230lbs. When my oldest was a baby I was concerned with her eating habits. Her doctor was never very concerned because her height & weight was always equal. Today she could be a little thinner but for her height, I think she is pretty thin. My youngest has always been skinny though. Thought there would never come a day he would break 100lbs. He's fine though was the same percentile in height & weight, 100%.

my first was 8lbs 7oz 20 in. long breastfed. my second was 8lbs 12oz 21 in. breastfed. They were both 90-95 percentile from birth to present. I love my big fat babies lol. i fed them every 2 hours for 2 months then pretty much went by thier schedule after that. If they slept all night i let them, i never woke them up to feed like my dr told me to.
