how many of you all stayed to watch/comfort during the procedure?
are you confident your son got pain control if you werent there?
and are you happy with the job your Dr did?

i stay n kind of watched.. right when he sniped i looked away.. i was almost in tears.. my son only cried when they straped his legs down.. he didnt seem like anything else hurt him... the dr did a really good job... like it looks prefect.. we r so happy we got it done.. my son wasnt even upset the days that followed.. he was 7 days old... if i have more sons in the future we r totally getting them done.. but it was expensive $445!

My boyfriend comforted my son and I ended up on the wrong side of the table and got to see way more than I wanted to. My son only cried when they had to prick him with the needle that would numb him. and when he was strapped down. After that he actually slept through the whole procedure.
if I ever have another boy I thnk I will wait outside LOL.

I couldn't watch, I looked in to the room through the nursery window and I just started to cry and couldn't watch, but I think the doctor did an amazing job and it never seemed to bother him before during or even right after the procedure, so I am confident in his pain control.

Both my boys had it done while in the hospital. I was in my room for 4 days getting over the cesarean delivery, and my boys were always quiet in the hospital, until they were brought home. They were too busy eating, pooping, and sleeping...

Husband took them through and both slept the whole time except with the local injection.

Sorry I also meant to say that this doc did a fantastic job on the little guy!

Very interesting Stacy. I haven't seen this video before. I like how calm the little guy was! This seemed like how my boys were - although they didn't like the initial freezing process the rest was a breeze.

I actually did stay and watch. It went really easy and it appeared to be painless. My son was numbed (that part he didn't like), and then the procedure was quick. I love the result - great job!

I didn't watch but I did wait outside the nursery when they did it. His was done at the hospital. I'm sure he got enough pain control because I never heard a sound out of him.
