Cding and leaky diapers

It seems like all my diapers leak at least once on my baby. I have prefolds, AIO's, and pocket. I have washed and stripped diapers, but to no avail. DH was getting frustrated so I bought some sposies for overnight and going out... and she leaks through the disposibles too! I change her as soon as I know she poops, and gage the pee! Do I need to go to diapering 101 school, I just don't know what I'm doing wrong. Thank you!

If you've got hard water, you may also be dealing with mineral build-up. Water softener (like Calgon) added to your wash might help if this is the case.

We had every AIO leak the other weekend while my baby girl was in the carseat. I needed to adjust them in the end. When I use an AIO at night (AIO's seem to be my hardest to get a snug fit) I started putting a Little Beetle insert in my Thirsties AIO's and and she no longer leaks at night.

It could just be the fit isn't snug enough. I was afriad I was going to squish her, but even with the taps pulled right up to one another, I still have plenty of room in her waist, however perfect around her legs.

Could just be adjusting in the right places. Right darn stressful when you are trying to do the right thing!!! :)

I use a fitted nappy and a cover with my baby (tots bots). I've found that the cover pretty much stops anything getting through. My son was a heavy pooer - every nappy was pooey and it got everywhere! Disposables didn't work at all for those nappies. We went travelling for three weeks when he was 6 monnths and I found that putting covers over the disposables was the best way to stop leaks!!! If it's just wet, I don't bother changing his clothes - a bit of wet doesn't hurt and he's pretty grubby by the end of the day anyway...however, the weather's pretty warm here (Australia) so I don't know what I'd do if I lived anywhere that gets snow!!

Thank you ladies! I will check into doublers. The legs do seem snug to me. I have 1 BG with the microfiber inserts and that was the 1st one to leak. She is 13 lbs now, so she is a good size for fitting into diapers. I change her atleast every 2 hrs during the day. At night it is a 5 hr stint- where I do double up insert with an IPF. The leaks seem to be overnight and when she is in her carseat- on car rides ;)

Girls wet more toward the middle/back of the diaper I would add a doubler there and also make sure that the legs are snug enough.

You could take a dry diaper and a measuring cup of water and pour 6-8oz of water and see if it leaks. Your little one could just be a heavy wetter, how frequently are you changing? Maybe add another doubler. I always did with my DD just made it easier

It might be your liners...what kind are you using for the pocket diapers?? I've never had a leak with the bumgenius microfiber inserts.

Are they snug enough around the legs? I know right now with my newest I'm having problems with pockets (I don't use AIO's) and my little man because he's so little.

What inserts are you using? My LO leaks off and on at night- I haven't really nailed down the cause of the leaking either as I too have stripped my diapers.. =/  Is she leaking just at night or during the day as well? I change my LO's diaper every 2 hours when possible during the day because he can be a very heavy wetter at times. Wish I could help more! Good Luck!
