Here is my issue that my son is so active that his diapers that were fitting him just fine are no too big in the waist. I am currently using Thirsties, and I love them!! I can not get the waist tight enough. I don't want to go to a "all in one". I have so many inserts. I love this system. I am considering sewing on some extra velcro just so I can make it tighter. lol I am wondering if anyone has any ideas of similar style diapers that have a bigger velcro that uses the inserts. Or....pretty much any help!!!

i sewed a strip of velcro on the outside over one of the tabs and around part of the outside of the nappy, so that i can velcro one side over the other...

Any pocket diaper would take the inserts you already have. I am using BumGenius 3.0 - they are a one-size - and they seem to fit my active toddler very well both around the legs and the waist. I'm also using FuzziBunz and they fit well, too, although they are snaps and sometimes I find that I want to hook it somewhere between the snaps.

Elise, I think that is what I am going to have to do to.  I like the pocket diaper idea but they are a one time use.  I like the prefolds and covers.  I am ordering some new thirsties bc the ones that I have are all worn out. LOL The legs don't have any elastic left and EVERYTHING comes out. :)

Elise,   that is a great idea!

I hope you can figure it out.  Let us know how it goes.

Where are you? I am in Canada and use AppleCheeks. There is a website for the US and Canada. My son is also quite active and I have no problems with the diapers. It is a pocket system and the elastic is great. They are double row snap closure, making it easier to adjust. The website offers a demo on how to use the diapers if you are really interrested. Applecheeks.com (ca, if you are in Canada)
