My 15 month old has had several ear infections. Her peditrician suggested get a tube in her ear that would help and or stop te ear infections.

My son had to get tubes and it really was not too big a deal at all. The actual surgery was not even 15 minutes long. He has been great ever since..

This might sound gross but it worked wonders with my son.. I use olive oil infused with garlic... You can make your own by warming up olive oil and dropping a garlic clove in it... Let the garlic infuse the oil for about 5-10 minutes and put drops of the lukewarm oil in your child's ear... hold his head sideways for about 30 seconds so the oil can work... Garlic has anti-bacterial properties. Repeat as often as you want (minimum 4 times/day). I also used goldenseal& echinacea extract as directed on the bottle... Talk to your Doc before but for my son it worked when used at the first signs of an infection.

use breast milk in her nose at the first signs of congestion. A lot of times it's the cold in the sinuses that will settle in to the ears, so try to beat it while it's still in the nose. Poor thing, I hope that you don't have to do the rubes :(
