Hey everyone. I hope that we can use this forum to chat about everyday things that arise in our lives, let it be about the Coast Guard or our families. My husband is currently the ET1 at ESDD Philadelphia. I just finished my 8 year contract as a HS2. We both have been station on land and on a 378 cutter. We are expecting our first child in a couple of weeks that we are excited about. I know a lot about the Coast Guard but I am so worried about be a new mom. You know all the question that show up (will I be able to prove for him, will I be a good mom) So any tips out there on being a new mom is much appreciated. Hope you guys enjoy the forum.

About being a first time mom, ENJOY EVERY DAY!!!! I know that's what everyone says but it is so true. They grow up really quick and leave you wondering where all the time went. As far as CG we are currently stationed in Kodiak, AK on a 225. We have been married for 13 years and he has been in the guard since before we got married.

hi! i'm katrina and my husband and i just moved to clearwater, FL with our two kids, a son who is almost 5 and a daughter who is almost 2. he is PO3 AET AN (is that right? not too good with the acronyms just yet! am fairly new to the coast guard.). before that he was a SN on a cutter in seattle, WA. Apparently, the cutter's are not too much fun!! he was deployed a lot. anyway, congratulations on your first born. hope all went well. hope to chat again with you all very soon.
