Hi all I need craft ideas ASAP! I would like to make some handmade crafts for our schools Santa secret shop, for consignment. Anyone have any ideas that won't be to time consuming and inexpensive to make, but at the same time something that your little would get you for Christmas.

What about side walk chalk it is very easy to make and kids love it. here's the recipe
What You Need:
A Mold
1 cup Plaster of Paris
3/4 cup Water
Medium Sized Bowl
Powedered Tempera Paint
Find a mold for your sidewalk chalk. Anything from a toilet tissue roll or small paper cup to fancy candy molds will work.
Mix together 1 cup of Plaster of Paris with 3/4 cup of water.
Add color to your mixture using powdered tempera paint.
Blend well and let stand for a few minutes.
Pour your mixture into the molds you chose.
Set aside and let dry completely. approximately 24 hours more.
Once dry you can remove your chalk from the mold.
Take your chalk outside and create fun masterpieces!
Powdered tempera paint is available at most large craft can will also be called powdered poster paint too.
Experiment with making swirled colors by adding the paint and stirring very little.
Drying time can take from several hours to a few days depending on the size of the mold you chose.
Most of these things can b found at Walmart and craft stores. If you shop @ Michael's, Joannes or AC moore do a google search before you go you can usually find printable coupons that will save u up to 50% off one item.
Also see if you can find a copy of Kid creations online or in the book stores in your area not only will they give you some great ideas for the sale they have crafts in them for all age groups and instead of doing the craft yourself why not put the items in a small bag with instructions and make your own craft kits for the kids to do themselves. I think sponge flyers would be awesome for this. Just an idea. If you want feel free to send me a message for other ideas.

Book markers.
This would be simple with stuff from Hobby Lobby or Michaels. The soft foam stuff that they can make pictures on.

You can make decorations out of home made baked dough. They are so easy, we use them for everything. We live in new zealand but i'm from ireland so we make them alot and send them to the grandparents. They love them because my 3 year old makes them and decorates them. You can google the instrustions or i can give them to you.

Making your own soap is simple and inexpensive - candles, too. (Stuff that most moms like.) Michael's should have everything you need.
