Hi everyone,
I'm a Photographer and visual artist. I'm currently selling my stuff online using Etsy. My shops are PeanutButterPie.etsy.com and TMCPhoto.etsy.com
Does anyone else sell the results of their creative outlets?
If so where, and how are you doing with that?
I've just started in the months and am waiting for my first sale and making lots of new connections.
Tami

I too had never heard of Etsy until I started joining the beading groups here on Facebook. I ran across a website called Imadeitmyself.com .Anybody heard of it? It seems to have lots of stuff listed for sale on there- and it says its free to list and buy. I'm always skeptical of "free". It seems there is always some catch. Has anybody used them before?

I had not head of Etsy. I've dabbled with ebay, but the constant re-lising, and the fees were too much. I got my creative streak from my parents, and my mum makes beaded julry. I have been focusing on papercrafting, mainly cards, but have been dabbling with beads and scrapbook kits. We (my mum and I )do two craft fairs a year but with the lack of money around at the moment have had low to no return of late. I think I will try this other place and see how it goes.

Hello! I make jewelry myself.. I just opened up an Etsy store myself so we'll see how well it turns out for me. I tried Ebay for a while, but the fees were just too high in my opinion. How are you making out on Etsy?
Take a look at my place and tell me what you think!

I'm finding Etsy is great for community and support but no sales yet. I'm planning on going brick and mortar over the next few months to see if I have any luck there. I'll keep the Etsy shops up and running though. I get a lot of views and as I said above the community is fantastic, lots of people willing to share ideas and offer support.

Hi!
I sell through my own private website. It has been going fairly well so far (have had the site for just over a year)... I do alot of advertising through Facebook aswell as having posters and leaflet handouts etc
I am going to also open a Market stall this year for both my paintings and jewellery and see how that avenue goes aswell.
Personally, I found that Etsy didnt work for me, for the simple reason that it is relatively unknown still. Hopefully it all goes well for you though. :-)

hi there. :) I'm brand new to the whole circle of moms thing, have been checking it out before I committed to adding photos and stuff about my kids. ;) I've got a 2 yr old and 5 yr old, and run an etsy shop on the side for selling cards. coffeebeancards.etsy.com. I started about 16 months ago and it has gone really well! it was slow at first, but i've now sold over 1,100 cards and it is going really well!! etsy is WONDERFUL, if not predictable. :D

Yes I sell online. I do not make the products but I have a clothing boutique with fashions for Women Children and Men. StraightUpFashions.com I have been selling for years on Ebay under Ebay store Shopaholic206 and have recently in the last year started my website to avoid the steep Ebay fees. It is definitly hard to get the first sales. I have found that word of mouth and handing out flyers personally so people see there is a face behind the online profile has worked the best for me. I have done google adds and have got hits from them but not the sales I was hoping for. Good luck, and I look forward to hearing from you!

P.S. Wow! I just realized we have the same last name!! LOL

I have a website, have been selling my own creations for almost 9 years. I started small, and then got word of mouth referrals, and now have some Hollywood A -Listers as some clients. I was thinking of going through Etsy as well. Check out www.stitchedwithlove.com.
Did you have any particular questions? Good Luck

I also have a shop on Etsy (http://CoconutPalmDesigns.etsy.com). I sell wooden signs and ACEOs. But I am channeling my energies into my Personalized Name Signs.

I do a lot of infant and family photography, so I mainly just sell directly to my clients using Shutterfly Pro. For what I am doing it works great. I'd love to get into selling my nature photography though, I'll have to check etsy out.

Tami,
that is so great that you use Etsy. I just found that website, and I am working on getting a spot on there to sell my paintings/drawings. My friend has an art gallery in my town and I have been selling my work there for the last year. So far I have sold around 10 pieces. I also do commission based work and have been really busy with that. The painting that is on the group profile of the sheep in the field is one that I painted for my friends nursery. Congrats on your first sell! that is so exciting :)
