Do you limit your child's fluid intake before bed? How long before bedtime/nap time?

We stop giving the cup an hour before bed time. She's allowed to finish her juice with dinner then she gets water until 8. She is almost always dry every morning. She's been that way since about 15 months old. She has very good bladder control which makes it harder on me when I want to take her to the potty lol.

I had to start limiting my sons fluids once he started peeing through his diaper overnight. I try to make his last drink 30 min to an hour before he goes to bed. It seems to work pretty well and he hasn't pee'd through since I started limiting his drinks.

My boy takes his last fluid at dinner. The doctor advised me that once a child is 1 year old that should not get fluid through the night. If they, however, want something, give them water. Something else that's quite true is that you will make potty training a lot harder for yourself if your child is still taking fluids through the night. A good age to attempt potty training is 18 months. You will need a lot more patience from this age, but you will see that in most instances children of 3/4 years that are still wearing nappies, didn't start potty training very early. Good luck.
