any ideas for finger foods

My daughter's first finger food was banana. Since then, she has had overcooked veggies (corn, carrots, peas, beans, etc.), fruit like thinly sliced cooked apples, puffs, cheerios, broken up pieces of bread, cheese, meats and more.

The first finger foods I tried were from the Organix range in the supermarket. There are a range of corn snacks and rice cakes for babies 7+ months and they dissolve in the mouth easily. I also tried toast and pieces of ripe banana.

From 12 months try cooked beans, sliced chicken, cherry tomatoes (halved), mango slices, celery, pikelets or pancakes, oranges, asparagus (cooked or canned), cheese on toast strips, hard boilded eggs, yoghurt, fruit bread, mini muffins, crackers with avacado or cheese, fruit pottle, egg sandwiches or grated cheese, crushed pineapple, canned spaghetti, hummus and chopped lettuce, lamb cutlets, cheesy vegatable quiche.

From around 9 months try mandarins, bread sticks, raisins, thinly sliced apples and pears, peaches, cucumber, kiwifruit, nectarines, strawberries, avacado, banana, rice crackers, cheese cubed or grated, plain crackers, cooked pasta, cooked broccoli, cooked kumara (sweet potato), cooked carrot, dried apricots, seedless grapes, mini meatballs, fish fingers or fish sticks and little sandwiches with jam or other speads but not peanut butter or honey until 2 years old.

I give my son Alfie tiny cubes of cheese, wholemeal bread with a scraping of butter, Carrot sticks, organic baby crisps, dairylea and philidelphia on bread.

What about banana... or avacado. Those are easy to eat. That will be my daughter's first finger food.
