My son is 7.5 months and has never napped much. He is a good sleeper at night though. He naps usually 2 times a day, once for 30 min in the morning and once for about an hour in late afternoon. He sleeps about 12 hours at night though. My baby book says that for children 6-10 months they sleep a total of 14-16 hours in a 24 hour period which may mean more naps and less sleep or visa versa.

My son is 7 and a half months old and he has 2 naps a day. He wakes up around 7-7.30am, then goes down for his morning nap around 9.30-10. He usually sleeps for around an hour and a half - 2hrs then goes back down for his afternoon nap around 1.30-2pm. He usually gets about 2 sometimes 3 hrs sleep in the afternoon. Then he goes to bed around 6.30-7pm and sleeps all night. Of course, this only happens if we stay home! If I have to go out, then he wont sleep at all while being out.

3 to 4, if you count the time that she wakes up at 6 for a feeding and then falls right back to sleep.

Both my children take one or two. When they were younger they sometimes would have 2-3 sometimes 4, just depends on what's happening. In my opinon, it's never a bad thing if a baby wants to sleep. Their bodies are going through so many changes that it's actually exhausting but people seem to forget that. My son who's now 8 months old has one nap a day but it's for a good few hours 3-4 solid. He then also goes right through the night 10-12 hours. My daughter who's 18 months is actually exactly the same. I find that with both of my children, they definetly sleep more when they are teething.

My son seems to have to have a little snooze after about two hours... So ends up with about 3 sometimes even 4 a day... If he doesn't I don't find he sleeps well at night which is wierd to me. lol. Depends on when he wakes I guess, Example this morning he woke up really early at 5:30 and wouldnt go back to sleep so was tired again by 8 and had a nap, only slept an hour though so is going to be ready for another one here by 11:30... I wish I had a nice schedule like all the other mommies here :( but some days he sleep till 7/7:30 and lately only till 6 Oh my!

my 8 month old does a nap around 10am (hes up at 7) and another nap around 3, so he usually gets in two during the day.

My 7 month old son has an early morning nap - usually half an hour, he then has a lunchtime nap, usually 90 minutes, then again another nap late afternoon for half an hour, just before he has his tea.

My son will take one or two. He's been waking up earlier in the morning lately, and so will take an early nap- before noon. This one will usually be half an hour to an hour long. Generally if he doesn't nap until the afternoon, it will be a one or two hour long nap. On occasion he will doze while having his milks around 5pm, but that's never longer than half an hour, and never occurs on a day with an early nap.
