Our little one is 7 1/2 months old. By 2 months she was sleeping through the night, no issues. At 6 months we ended upmoving in with family members. She then started to wake in the middle of the night. When this happened we'd let her crawl into bed with us so she wouldn't wake everyone else in the house up. Obviously big mistake. 1 month later, we can't get her out. Last night we let her cry it out (family told us to do it). She woke up every 2 hrs-ish, cried for 15-30 min before she'd fall asleep again. It's usually around 1a when she starts to wake up and she typically goes to bed around 10:30p (hubby and I both work 2nd shift). We've tried switching formula, we've tried feeding her actual food before bed to help her get through the night longer. Part I'm sure is due to teething but any suggestions?

How many nights has it been? When we started my son to sleep through the night the doctor said it would take 7 nights of crying it out with each night progressively worse until the last night. Luckily my son was ready to sleep through the night anyway and was just used to getting up for a bottle so it only took him three nights, but my doctor had suggested it normally takes 7.

The doctor also said, no food, no rocking. Just listen and if the cry is a distress cry then just check on them but if the cry is a "I want mommy" cry, then don't go in the room.

hey u guys just ceep on just let her lay in bed, give her water if u gonna give her anything, after 2-3 days she will understand she dont get any where else. if this not work, try to give her more food all throu the day, she might need more food cause she getting bigger. but dont give her a lot of food right before she goes to bed, 1 hour os so before is ok. good luck

Quoting Melissa:

are you feeding her when she wakes up? if so, you might want to stop. my pedi told me to stop feeding my LO at night after she was sleeping through and then suddenly was waking up again. the first few days were tough, but she eventually realized that she wasn't going to get fed and started sleeping through the night again. good luck!!

Nope, we don't feed her when she gets up. We try to give her a paci and rock / pat her back to sleep.
