Experience with "On the Go Pottys"?

I've started ECing my baby when out of the house & have been bringing along my Baby Bjorn Little Potty -- relatively speaking though its fairly big & so I leave it in the car or in the bottom of the stroller. However, quite a few times I've found myself to far away to get back to the BBLP. So I've started looking into these so called On The Go Pottys, like this one by Potette (claims to fit in a bag & cheap too).

Has anyone tried this or another product from the ECing perspective? My little guy really seems to prefer sitting on a potty as opposed to me holding him over a container/open diaper or something like that.

I like my little bjorn potty, we take that everywhere. My friend has the one you linked to and my DD went potty on that no problem when we were out.

I have not tired any on the go potties but have considered it. Mine seat is bulky too, and my little one is facinated with public bathrooms. He usually grabs the toilet paper, tried to reach into the toilet, leans forward, leans back, etc. Something more familiar might help.

I have found that with a little boy, he likes to stand on the edge of the seat facing back and pee standing up. It helps more in public bathrooms becasue I hate him touching everthing and this way he cant.

Thanks Jen -- between your endorsement & the fact that the EC store is carrying it, I went ahead & got the potette plus from BabiesRUs. And darn if that thing really does fit in my diaper bag. I'll be taking it out for its maiden trip soon!

We used the BBLP and it was nice, but unable to obviously just stick in your pocket and go. www.theecstore.com used to sell the potette plus potty (a little different than the one you posted) which worked well for us but I didn't see it when I did a quick search upon seeing your post. You can search Amazon for 'folding potty seat' to yield some different results as well. Hope this helps (a little at least).

Happy EC'ing. :-)
