Hi ladies! I have been a traditional scrapper for 8 years now. I just started toying with a digital kit on my mac. I know shutterfly will print my 12x12 pages for around $6.00. What are some other cheaper but reputable options for getting my pages printed?

Hi Teresa! I am a master designer with an online publishing company that in my biased opinion feel there is nothing out there like it!! They have it all from designing to printing! The drag and drop design studio is already integrated with 50,000+ pieces of FREE keyword searchable designer artwork categorized in thousands of matching collections (would cost over $5000 to download yourself but you get it free)! It also has FREE unlimited high resolution photo storage that I can download back to my computer at any time so all of my pictures are ready for me to drag and drop and place where I want them on the page! The design stdudio is just like traditional scrapbooking where I can create the page like I want to and not be stuck with a template that I can't change! However it also includes almost 5,000 professionally pre-designed templates that ARE changeable so if you don't like an embellishment on the page you can delete it..move it, add more art..and change background papers and colors to your liking..etc! When you are done with your project (scrapbook pages, hardbound books, gallery wrapped canvas prints, greeting cards, invites, posters, calendars, cookbooks and more) simply push a button and it's professionally printed and delivered to your door in a week. I have never come across products with better quality that too make me cry when I get them back! They use only the highest archival quality materials with superior digital printing and everything they offer is gorgeous!! I like their customizable 12x12 postbound album that come with page protectors and then I make their 12x12 scrapbook pages and insert them! The only thing you pay for is professional printing! So for just $3 per scrapbook page..I get all the artwork I could ever need (more collections added every month), an unbelievable design studio and professional printing for one low price!!

I have included samples of things I have created with our can create them on your own or use these as templates and simply drop in your photo's and add your text but still have the freedom to change anything about it that you don't like:

Please feel free to contact me and I'll get on a quick webinar with you and teach you designing tips and help you get started with your digital scrapbooking (no charge of course) are going to fall in love with this easy, fast and fun solution to digital scrapbooking!

Hey there, Just saw your post, I am a Stampin Up demonstrator, using My Digital Studio, a really wonderful program put out by Stampin Up! (It is Mac compatible-I am a Mac girl, so I can vouch for it's easy of use on the Mac!)

I love digital scrapbooking and was thrilled that I made an beautiful book for a whole year of my family in one week! I also had complete control over the book which is really awesome!

I had it printed and bound professionally then took the book and turned it into a DVD slideshow for my mom and mother in law as a gift which is a nice extra option with the software. Since you are considering individual sheets, I can recommend the printing through Stampin Up as well. We just had a permanent printing price decrease and our 8.5x11 are now $1.95, 12x12 are $2.50. You may need to own MDS to use the printing place option however. I can double check.

One thought is that pages printed on a home printer are probably not archivally safe or acid free and are not going to store well long term.

I love the software, I have a great intro video on my website at Also we have a wonderful community website at that you can look at samples from other MDS users and get great ideas and tips.

check it out, and let me know if I can help. I got certified in the software when it first came out, and I'll be there to help you as much as possible.

That is a great idea. Most of my traditional pages sit in books on a bookcase in my office but no one ever sees them. I have thought about doing smaller albums before but wasn't sure I would be able to get more than on picture on a page. Now with digital scrapbooking, I guess I can branch out with 2 or more photos in different digital sizes that fit better on a smaller page. Thank you for the advice!

I have had mine printed at They are having a sale right now for .99 cents a page and they go to $3.49 a page, depending on what quality of paper you pick. Here is an idea for you, after starting off with 12x12 prints I decided to go to 8x8 prints instead and I can print those right off of my printer. The 12x12 books are just so big and I don't have a place to leave them out, so with the 8x8 books they can be left out on coffee tables or fit on shelves without sticking out, plus grandmas like that size too, so I go ahead and design on a 12x12 page but then have the option to print off 8x8 or 6x6 pages too.
