I was diagnosed with a benign brain tumor when my son was about 10 months old. When they did the surgery to debulk it, it left me with so much nerve damage my body was basically reacting like it had a stroke on my right side body/left side face. I am so sick of getting the poor thing looks. I am raising a toddler (just turned two) with some pretty nasty disabilities. I am still having to get regular MRIs to watch the tumor. While it's getting better. I am still blind and deaf on the left side. My son and I do just fine (husband works FT and is very involved).

Hi Nancy,
My name is Shannin Tipton and I am disabled too. I had brain surgery in 1993. Everything is fine now except my common sense. I have none. I call it the invisible disability because no one can see it but it is there. It must be difficult for you to take care of your son. I am starting my own community and would love it if you would join. We could talk about things that others dont understand. Please stop by. I would love to here from you. Hope to see you there.{:+)
