I pushed with both of my children. My daughter was the easiest I pushed for maybe 10 minutes and I think 4 pushes later I had her.

I pushed her out in 12 min. after 9 hrs. of labor... I was ready for her to welcome the world because I didn't have the easiest of pregnancies.

I had a horrible case of preeclampsia and the baby's biophysical started to show signs of stress, so the Dr. recommended and immediate c-section. I didn't have one contraction. It was a pretty standard procedure, but they should warn you about the shakes afterwards. I shook so bad they asked me to let go of the table because I was moving it around...opps!

I had a normal delivery. I was in labor for 14 hours. I finally got a epidural after 12hrs because I was stuck at 5cm. After about an hour and a half of having the epidural I was ready to push. I pushed twice with the nurse, and once with the Dr. I felt very lucky for this being my first baby. My husband and I are going to start trying again in about 7 months and hope it goes just as well as the first one:0)

I had a normal delivery with my first. LONG!!! I labored for 17 hours and pushed for 2 hrs n 15 mins. It was hard. My second was an emergency c section after going into labor i was at home for about 3 hours of hard laboring i went into the hospital my midwife checked me and i was 4 cm but the baby had turned and was coming footling breech. I was then shipped to a hospital on ambulance that was 2 hours away. I got there and I was 7 the baby was still flipped. So the doctor gave me general an. and I was out. It was so fast my husband didnt even get to be in the room. But I would way rather a natural delivery!!!!

Hi! With my son (19 months old), I was induced a week after my due date. I pushed for about 4 1/2 hours. With my daughter (9 weeks old), I had an emergency c-section shortly before my 32nd week. I had a placenta abruption. I have to say, pushing was so much better than the c-section. I hated every second of it.

But so pleased to have my beautiful girl here i dont care how she got here lol

With mine I went into the hospital to be induced (cuz I was 10 days overdue) at 8am, got induced at around 10am, left the hospital at around 1pm to cash a cheque and pick up some food, got back around 2pm, got my water broken around 2:30pm, got Fentanol around 3pm (I was almost passing out from pain, but it did nothing for me), I asked for an epidural around 4:50pm, they put it in, then (before it even had time to take effect) I pushed for about 10 minutes, and he popped out. And that was even with him getting stuck, and his heart rate dropping. I pushed hard, cuz the nurses were screaming at me to push, and pushing on my stomach to get him out. I went from 6 to 10 in the short period of time I was sitting up for my epidural.

I have had all 4 of my babies by c-section! My first I was in labor 27 hours before a emergency c-section, the rest was scheduled sections!

I've had experience with both methods and much prefer pushing. My first was a smooth easy labor, delivery, and pregnancy. My second was an equally easy pregnancy but he got stuck and I had to have a c-section;HORRIBLE recovery-so much pain and the scar still itches almost 3 years later! My third (just born 1/2/2010) was a spectacular HOME birth and I loved every minute of it. So ladies who have had a c-section you do have the option of delivering vaginally the next time...even if you need to do it at home.

I was induced and only got as far as a three after waiting for 12 hours I had a c/section. It went very well. I had no pain and recovered very fast. I plan on having another c/section when I have my second child

both my boys were csection. my first one i was in labor for 30 HOURS! no joke! after 30 hours i stopped dilating at 7 and since my water already broke they decided to do a csection. so my second i had a choice and i wanted a csection.

i had a 32 hour labour, i had to have my waters broken, then the first epidural didnt work so i had another higher in my spine. They then induced me with the drip as i wasnt dialating or moving along in the labour, it was then imogen's heart rate dropped dramatically. i was taken to surgery for an emergency c-section. when they gave me the pain killers i could still feel the hot sensation of the knife so i opted to be put under as they had to get my daughter out quick. when i came to my husband had my daughter in his arms and as much as we'd been thru i'd do it again just to have my beautiful bundle :)

I was only allowed 9 hours of labour after being induced as I was poorly and then ended up as an emergency section, didnt go too well afterwards, lost a lot of blood, and they had trouble contracting my uterus back, ended up very anemic, but was all worth it as have a gorgeous baby girl.....

Well, I got there Thursday night after my water broke at around 7:30pm and they started my contractions, then they gave me the epidural, but every time I had a contraction my baby's heart rate dropped drastically so they decided to give me an emergency C-section. He was my first baby so it scared me half to death. But he made it alright and now he's two months old and fat and happy. :)

C-section 3 1/2 weeks early, I didn't get the chance to go into labor. Baby was SGA (small for gestational age), and my blood pressure was too high on the day of our stress test, so they got me prepped and delivered 2 hours later.

I had an emergency c-section after 12 hours of labour. Had no problems with it at all and was up and moving the next morning. I would happily go through it again.

I pushed Cole out. 1 hr of pushing after 3 hours of labor. Short but intense. No drugs, not even an IV for fluids, partly because I started pushing 20 minutes after arriving at the hospital, and partly because that was the plan (the no drug part). Felt completely back to normal 2 weeks after the birth. (even if I'm still not in my "normal" jeans yet :) )

I did it natural with both my boys, the baby took about an hour, but went a lot smoother than my older boy (nothing went wrong, it just took longer with the first one).

[deleted account]

c section..but this was my first and I was induced (obviously the induction wasn't successful in terms of achieving a vaginal birth).
I was in labour for 4 hours, and during the last hour, my contractions were on top of eachother and they were having trouble finding the baby's heartbeat, so they decided to do an emergency c-section....

oh i forgot, I was in labor for 38 hours with my first before the three hours of pushing. That's why I hemorrhaged.

I have kind of done both, with my first daughter I pushed for three hours, before they decided that she was not going to come out that way. (She was stuck behind my pubic bone, head was to large to fit) They ended up having to do a c-section to get her out. When my second daughter was born we decided for my safety to just plan a c-section (I hemorrhaged three times during and after my first daughters birth) so no pushing with the second.

with this one i pushed 3 contrations over 12 min i was told 6 pushes and he was out. he tore up though so it was harder to get over the pain. he was 7lbs 12 oz just under 19 inches long. with my second born 3 years ago she was c section and it was soo much worse. 4lbs 15 ozs 18.5 long. at least this time i was back to normal after a week or so. my first was a fast delivery to. 5 pushes and she was out. she was 7lbs 2 oxs 18.5 long

Pushed my first born ( son) out in 20 minutes, second baby ( daughter) in 5 minutes, and just pushed out the twins - babies 3 (boy) and 4 (girl) last month in 30 minutes total! 4 babies and less than an hour pushing- I guess I am extremely lucky! I wanted to avoid a c section at all costs, and worked hard! :-)

[deleted account]

i was induced, 36 hours of labour, baby was back to back, i only dilated as far as 6cm so deliverd by section :)

My labor and delivery was from 12:30AM January 5th to 12:30AM January 6th. Exactly a day, lol. It took about 20-25 minutes to push my son out. And thanks to the epidural I didn't feel A THING! :D
