Hi, my baby girl who is only breast fed was also very gassy, she would scare herself out of her sleep and sometimes it seem to hurt when she passed it. we gave her mylicon drops but i also had to watch what i ate. it eventually gets better! good luck!

My son is really gassy. He is 12 weeks old and he farts like a grown man. Mylicon will help with the burps, but I can't find anything for the other end.

My 7.5 week old daughter is the same way except she gets fussy when she has trouble pushing them out. I've found that mylicon & gripe water seem 2 help.

Olivia is very gassy! sometimes it seems to bother her, other times it doesn't. if she seems really uncomfortable we give her some gas drops, otherwise we just laugh especially when she farts on her little cousins!

Dont feel bad Its so normal. I have two boys and they both are like that. They just let it go and they are loud. With my first Son we were sitting around at a family gathering and he let one go loud and every one didnt believe me that it was him that farted and that a baby couldnt fart that loud. My second one does the same thing and smiles about it. if your not breastfeeding it might be the foumula try a differnt kind that is gental on his tummy

My daughter is 8 weeks old and went through a pretty bad bought of gas. Im breastfeeding and we pinned it down to what I was eating. We are vegetarians so we figured out what certain foods I was eating that bothered her. Gripe Water also works really well and is natural. Good Luck!

My son is 9wks and eventho he's not gassey he still gets uptight and unsettled when he does. Yre right, when it's 'time', it's 'TIME!' so yea maybe thats a male thing cos they dnt care whos around they will let 'em rip (LOUDLY) lol. Better out than in..thank goodness! :)

i have a daughter she is 8wks and she is like that. My family has started saying she has exploding gas. I have learned that when we are playing if i sometimes put her on her stomach like i want her to crawl to me...when she starts to scoot her way towards me she starts burping and farting all over the place. It helps relief the pressure in her stomach and shes not as gas anymore. hopefully that helps.

My daughter who is only 2 months old has such bad gas that she scares herself sometime and the odor could make a grown adult cry. I did start using gripe water in her bottles and it seems to have reduced some of her gas, but definitely not all.

My son is the same, i am breast feeding, trumping loads! Can be loud and smelly on occassions. It has been known for people to hear him on the other end of the phone! i asked the health visitor and she replied better out than in! Some times they bother him and if he is really struggling we give him infacol.

My dh is also very gassy, since day 1 and she's 6 weeks now. She is colicky so it's difficult to deal with - her screams are just so heartbreaking to hear. I've tried gripe water but I can't tell if it's helping or not.
Then again, a lot of the time she's just tooting away (and seems to be fine), just like her daddy!

I have a really gassy baby and what helps to reduce the amount of gas is 1- Yes malyicon helps. and 2- burping alot more frequently. I started burping my baby every half oz. Yes it can be strenuous but to tell you the truth, she/he is your world right now and what he/she needs he/she gets :)

My daughter is the same way. She is almost 10 weeks, but ever since we brought her home from the hospital she is like a gas machine. We give her gripe water and it helps a ton. Any drug store will have it. She's also spitting up a lot and i'm not sure if your son does the same thing, but it helps with that as well. good luck!

Gas is totally natural in babies. My son and his dad have competitions sometimes, it seems. Sometimes they bother him, sometimes not, but hey, sometimes gas bothers adults too.

I'm breastfeeding mine too, I only give him formula when we are out running around, so his tummy is still getting use to the mix of both but his gas problems have gotten better since I gave in to feeding him formula every once in a while

Same here my son is 6 weeks and he is really gasy and and farts like a grown man too. I started giving him little tummies gas relief drops and that helps but he started having very little stool diapers so I started giving him a little apple juice and water and that helped quite a bit plus he loves the juice :)

Hello, You are not alone by far it seems. LOL My Ayla is 6 weeks old and has had gas problems since we came home from the hospital. I have recently switched her formula to a reduced lactose version and it has helped alot with the pain she used to get from the gas. She still has the farts but not nearly as much as before. My Dr. and several other people have even suggested changing the nipple to a faster flow to reduce the amount of air they take in when feeding. Congratulations n your little boy and I hope things improve for you and your liitle guy.

Mylicon drop's are the key to some type of peace...for you and your baby, my son had horrible gas when we first brought him home, but NOW at 9 wks. his gas is so much better, I find myself not needing to give him Mylicon drop's as often as what I was giving him...in the next couple of wks. I'm sure it won't be as bad!

I have to burp my daughter about 7times during one feed and she still won't settle after that and has to be sat up up or she'll scream =/

My son is crazy with the farts! I didn't know such a little baby could rip them like that. He has farted on every family member and his doctor more than once. I have switched him to a gentle formula and that has helped him with his constipation. His burps smell like Cheez-its now, but it's better than listening to him shriek in pain. Now it's just the farts.

lol...my son is the same way.. he is almost 7 weeks old and farts like a grown man. When it starts to bother him i give him a dose of milacon drops which seems to help relieve some of his discomfort. However is your son is having trouble pooping i recommend putting karo syrup in his bottle a few times a day until he can go then gradually reduce the amount until he can go on his own comfortably. My son has the same problem and i asked his doc what i could do and this is what he said. Good luck with your little man and i hope you feel better knowing your son isnt the only one that can let em rip...lol
